Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Jira Governance & Admin Helper (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App. These Terms apply in addition to the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use.

2. Description of Service

The App is a Jira Cloud administration toolkit built on Atlassian Forge. It provides instance health auditing, bulk scheme management, user and group management, role assignment, and CSV export capabilities. The App is intended for use by Jira Cloud administrators only.

3. Eligibility and Access

  • The App is available only to users with the Jira ADMINISTER global permission or members of the jira-administrators or site-admins groups.
  • You must have a valid Jira Cloud subscription to use the App.
  • This is a paid app. All features require an active Atlassian Marketplace subscription. A free trial is available for evaluation.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of Jira Cloud administration. You shall not:

  • Attempt to circumvent the App’s access controls or license enforcement mechanisms
  • Use the App to perform actions beyond your authorized administrative scope
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
  • Use the App in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Share or redistribute the App outside of the Atlassian Marketplace

5. Data Handling

The App’s data handling practices are described in our Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • The App runs entirely on Atlassian’s Forge platform with no external servers operated by TechClimbs
  • No user personal data is permanently stored beyond configuration identifiers and one encrypted credential
  • The only external network call is to api.atlassian.com (Atlassian’s own Admin API), and only when an Organization API key is configured
  • The App complies with GDPR through Atlassian’s personalDataReport and personalDataDelete callbacks

6. Destructive Operations

The App provides bulk delete, suspend, and configuration change capabilities. These operations may be irreversible. By using these features, you acknowledge that:

  • You are solely responsible for verifying items before performing bulk operations
  • Deleted items (users, projects, workflows, custom fields, schemes, etc.) may not be recoverable
  • Suspended users will lose access to Atlassian products until reactivated
  • TechClimbs is not responsible for data loss resulting from administrator actions through the App

7. Intellectual Property

The App and all associated intellectual property rights are owned by TechClimbs. Your license to use the App is granted through the Atlassian Marketplace and is subject to the applicable Marketplace licensing terms. This license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TechClimbs does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TECHCLIMBS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the App
  • Any bulk operations performed through the App
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Any third-party conduct related to the App

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TechClimbs from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Modifications to Terms

TechClimbs reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App’s changelog or the Atlassian Marketplace listing. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

TechClimbs may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the App. Upon uninstall, all App storage data is automatically deleted by the Atlassian Forge platform.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through the Atlassian Marketplace dispute resolution process where applicable.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use, constitute the entire agreement between you and TechClimbs regarding the use of the App.
